The question

The company is aware of a large number of potential applications for the production of all sorts of bio pharmaceutics, industrial enzymes and natural enzymes. This concerns strongly varying markets with a broad diversity of competitors. The various applications set various conditions for the further set-up and expansion of the company and are not simply compatible. Cilian is standing at a crossroads and asks InnoTact to join them in developing the most promising strategy.

What InnoTact did

By creating insight into the inherent qualities, pros and cons of the product technology, opportunities and threats, market sizes, competitors and potential patent protection for the various applications, we were in a position to reach the joint decision with Cilian AG to opt for therapeutic proteins and specific cilliata natural enzymes. We recorded these choices in a strategic plan. In this plan we went into the corresponding further research strategy, positioning of the company, quality aspects, earnings model, IPR strategy, market trance strategy and communication strategy in great detail. We managed a specifically set-up dedicated strategy team throughout the entire process, made up of Cilian employees and external experts.

The result

The result of the partnership with Cilian was a soundly substantiated and above all, supported strategic plan that Cilian could use to continue further development. Cilian has now marketed its first patented product Cilase ® for the treatment of exocrine pancreas insufficiency. The company is also executing an assignment for the European Union on the development and production of an entirely (new antigen for a) new malaria vaccine.
