Inspired by the focus on the bio-based economy, Karl Rumbold (1973) joined InnoTact Consulting as associate consultant in 2008.

Karl is a university senior lecturer affiliated to the University of Witwatersrand Johannesburg (South Africa). Originally educated as microbiologist at the University of Graz (Austria), he started his international career at the University of Stellenbosch (South Africa) where Karl obtained his doctorate. He then continued as an affiliate of the University College London (United Kingdom) and the University of Gent (Belgium). Karl has worked as Project Manager at TNO for various major biotech and chemical companies since 2005.
With his innovative and result-orientated attitude and supported by his international science and industry network Karl makes a major contribution to the understanding and the transition of the client's requirements. As associate consultant with InnoTact Consulting, he primarily focuses on the development of business opportunities in the bio-based economy. He is the best person for making the transition from market to science and vice versa.
